A320 TYPE RATING


Aim of the course


1. A320 Standard Course
The aim of the standard transition course is to obtain type rating for a multi-pilot aeroplane Airbus A318/A319/A320/A321

2. A320 Standard Course + Jet Familiarization
Course on jet familiarisation for system's particularities, performances, meteorology met in high altitude flight with high performance airplane

3. A320 Standard Course + Glass Cockpit
Course on particularities of integrated glass cockpit particularities

4. A320 Standard Course + Jet Familiarization & Glass Cockpit
Course on jet familiarisation for system's particularities, performances, meteorology met in high altitude flight with high performance airplane and Course on particularities of integrated glass cockpit particularities

5. A320 Standard Course + Multi Crew Cooperation
Additional training at the commercial pilot licence required in order to fly within a crew

13. A320 A320 Standard Course + LVO
The aim of this training is to enable a crew to operate the aircraft with low visibility and category II/III approaches


Entry requirement


In order to ensure consistent profiency at the end of the course, certain experience is required for entry.

Before any course starts, de VINCI AĆ©ro will perform an initial screening in order to determine if the actual knowledge level of the applicant is compatible with the course proposed and what structure of complementary course would serve best ; for more information A320 screening.

For A320 Type Rating, there are 3 types of prerequisites :

1/Captain prerequisites :
-previously qualified on CS25/FAR25 aircraft and commercial operations -valid and current ATPL -previous command experience -have an adequate fluency in reading, speaking and understanding of the English language -flight time ; 1 500 hours as pilot and 200 hours experience as airline, corporate or military transport pilot

2/First officer prerequisites :
An applicant for an additional Type Rating course for a multi pilot aeroplane type shall : -have a valid CPL (A) -have a valid medical class 1 -have an adequate fluency in reading, speaking and understanding of the English language -have a valid multi-engine instrument rating IR ME (A)

3/First officer prerequisites - first type rating course : An applicant for the first Type Rating course for a multi pilot aeroplane type shall :
-have a valid CPL (A) -have a valid medical class 1 -have an adequate fluency in reading, speaking and understanding of the English language -have a valid multi-engine instrument rating IR ME (A) -have at least 70 hours as pilot-in-command of aeroplanes -have the MCC (if no MCC, the pilot must follow the "integrated Multi Crew Cooperation course")
